Job Description

As an Account Executive, focusing on mid-market businesses, you will be working with business owners, scheduling managers, and executives to help solve challenges surrounding labor management.  You’ll qualify their fit for When I Work’s Scheduling, Time Clock and communication tools and help them realize value through deep discovery conversations, product demos and trial periods. You’ll develop a keen understanding of labor management across multiple verticals and will display a strong problem solving ability to map When I Work’s flexible solution to their specific needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience and growing new customer revenue within the Mid-Market segment (prospects with more than 125 expected users). In this role you will:

  • Own the sales process from 20-100%
  • Engage prospects over the phone, via email and in-app messaging
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and follow-up tasks in Salesforce
  • Provide product demos via GoToMeeting
  • Provide regular feedback to leadership and across departments in pursuit of continuous improvement
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Customer Care, Customer Advocacy, Customer Success Managers, Product, and Marketing to identify opportunities to enhance customer experience and satisfaction

Experience and Skills Needed

  • Quota carrying-experience in software or technology sales, SaaS implementation, mobile apps or cloud software
  • Functional knowledge of workforce management solutions, accounting software, human resources systems and payroll applications
  • Technology savvy and ability to quickly learn new things
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage meetings or host webinars
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor degree required; business or technical degree preferred

  • Experience in the software or technology industry, preferably with SaaS industry experience
  • Experience with CRM and Success tools including SalesForce, ZenDesk
  • Experience with working with technology startups
