You grow revenue via new and existing channels by building a growth machine predicated on experimentation, predictability and scalability that harnesses our brand, product, and sales team to unlock growth and drive massive demand. What You’ll Be Doing

As the Vice President of Marketing, you will build and lead a world-class marketing organization by accelerating demand for our products, conversion rates, and revenue growth. You will drive the marketing roadmap and build our sales enablement strategy. The executive team will rely on you to manage the entire Marketing team P&L, continue building and nurturing the Marketing team, and use your experience and ideas to build scalable marketing programs that automate and streamline growth.

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing all marketing operations, focusing specifically on scaling efforts and developing new initiatives within the areas of online and offline demand generation, corporate marketing (branding and PR), and product-enabled growth, and user acquisition & retention.
  • Oversee all aspects of lifecycle marketing, content marketing, SEO, CRO, paid search, social media, corporate marketing, email marketing, mobile, and analytics.
  • Pioneer the next generation of marketing platforms, build programs that scale, emphasize speed to market, and drive ROI across the When I Work’s workforce management platform.
  • Build out sales enablement strategies establishing go-to market rigor and alignment between sales & marketing including developing channels and defining the MQL to SQL motion.
  • Manage a team of bright, growth-driven marketers who are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Your team will require an experienced, hands-on leader and mentor with a well-rounded marketing background who can help them prioritize ideas, execute on projects, collaborate effectively with other departments, and advance their skills.
  • Practice and promote an aggressive go-to-market attitude and bullish testing and iteration to enable a data-driven environment.

Experience and Skills Needed

  • 8+ years of progressive technology marketing leadership experience.
  • Experience marketing SaaS-based solutions to SMB and mid-market businesses.
  • Proven ability to communicate with senior executives about marketing strategy, analytics, ROI, and more based off a rapidly evolving strategy. Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience and success in building out sales enablement strategies.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth startup environment with evolving responsibilities.
  • An aggressive go-to-market attitude with a proclivity to experiment and fail fast.
  • Highly analytical with a “Marketing is a science, not an art” belief system.
  • Looks at success as something that is clearly measurable vs. qualitative.
  • A passion for helping small business and mid-market sized companies be successful.
  • Empathy for a diverse range of end-users. Eg. small business owners, employees, general managers, IT managers, etc.
  • A strong “less is more” ability to determine market needs based on listening and observing customers across a variety of segments and verticals.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
