As the Director, Mid-Market Sales Development, you will oversee the strategy and execution of our Mid-Market Sales Development Team.  You are a rare combination of talents including technology acumen, business comprehension, and the ability to communicate with anyone from anywhere. What You’ll Be Doing

As the Director, Mid-Market Sales Development you are responsible for managing a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) building and supporting our Mid-Market Sales motions. You will provide direction and ongoing coaching around customer acquisition, best practices, and progress against goals ensuring we can achieve our short, mid, and long term quotas. You will be critical to building and scaling our sales efforts in the outbound, Mid-Market segment, a new and exciting growth lever for When I Work.

  • Own the strategic vision and execution of our Mid-Market Sales Development team
  • Lead efforts to build out our SDR Playbook to create predictable, scalable results in the areas of:  qualified opportunities, pipeline, influenced revenue, and sales activities (among others).
  • Partner with Marketing leadership to optimize existing lead channels while developing new ones.
  • Collaborate with Mid-Market Account Executive leadership to ensure opportunity volume and quality to support monthly revenue targets.
  • Lead efforts to train and onboard SDR team members.
  • Own the ongoing coaching and development of SDR team members.
  • Contribute to the ongoing strategic development and improvement of the sales channel through iterative feedback and recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Care, Success, and Product teams to ensure efforts are aligned to company objectives.

Experience and Skills Needed

  • 4+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • B2B, inside sales experience selling technology.
  • Experience building and scaling inside sales teams of Sales or Business Development Reps.
  • Proven success coaching & mentoring teams to desired results.
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, training, & retaining new reps.  
  • Proven ability to engage across internal corporate functions (Marketing, Customer Care, Development and Executive teams).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage meetings or host webinars.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals in a sales development environment.
  • Strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, not required, but preferred.
