Who We’re Looking For

When I Work is looking for qualified Account Executives at our growing headquarters in Minneapolis.  As an Account Executive at When I Work you are in charge of closing Net New Revenue for When I Work.  You will be selling our entire portfolio of products across hundreds of industry verticals.  When I Work is a fast paced, high energy, never satisfied with the status quo organization.  Our Account Executives work directly with prospects to expedite their vetting process and understanding of When I Work’s solutions and enhance their overall experience with our company.  We are looking for smart, ambitious and focused Account Executives who are committed to our mission, focused on winning and have the highest level of integrity. 

We are looking for people who have a rare combination of talents that contain technology know­how, business acumen, creativity and the ability to design effective solutions for varying and ambiguous business models.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Day to day management of the When I Work sales cycle for our mid­-market accounts
  • Execution of the account plan to deliver maximum revenue potential
  • Acting as a liaison between product management and the customer with a focus on communicating the When I Work roadmap and how the roadmap will influence customer activities
  • Prioritizing and responding to prospect questions
  • Providing guidance and best practices on the implementation and setup of When I Work’s applications
  • Monitoring and simplifying prospect adoption of our solution features and functionality
  • Leveraging customer relationships when appropriate for marketing references, case studies and video interviews
  • Become an expert at When I Work’s discovery and sales execution process
  • Demonstrate expertise in the When I Work application suite – Scheduling & Communication and Time & Attendance
  • Work with Marketing, Customer Care , Development, Product and Executive teams to identify/resolve all issues that could impact conversion rate

Experience and Skills Needed

  • Customer facing sales & service role experience (consulting and implementation), that includes sales and application setup and delivery at both the business owner and executive levels
  • 2­-5+ years of experience in quota carrying software or technology sales, SaaS implementation, mobile apps or cloud software
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from open to close and from champion to CEO/COO level
  • Track record of over­achieving quota (top 10­-20% of company) in past positions
  • Functional knowledge of workforce management solutions, accounting software and payroll applications
  • Technology savvy, Mobile domain expertise and ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with customers especially at the executive level
  • Proven ability to engage across internal corporate functions (marketing, support, development and executive teams)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage meetings or host webinars
  • Bachelor degree required. Business or technical degree preferred
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • 2+ years of outbound calling experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
