What You’ll Be Doing
As the Sales Manager, Sales Development you are responsible for managing a team of Sales Development Representatives building and supporting our Mid-Market Sales motions. You will provide direction and ongoing coaching around customer acquisition, best practices, and progress against goals ensuring we can achieve our short, mid, and long term quotas. You will be critical to building and scaling our sales efforts in the outbound, Mid-Market segment, a new and exciting growth lever for When I Work.
Overall leadership of our Mid-Market Sales Development Team as well as a key contributor in the broader sales management team.
Achievement of key performance metrics including qualified opportunities, pipeline, revenue, sales activities among others.
Drive accountability through performance management and commitment to sales coaching and development of every team member.
“Lead from the front” by consistently demonstrating, coaching and reinforcing the value proposition and consultative sales process; must be able to lead through motivation and positive reinforcement of desired behaviors while leveraging key metrics and coaching observations.
Master the ability to demonstrate the software and best practices that enable our customers to easily see how the software can work in their unique environment.
Continuously improve the SDR playbook, calling scripts, and training processes to increase the productivity & efficiency of our Sales Development team
Attract, recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent.
Contribute to the ongoing strategic development and improvement of the sales channel through iterative feedback and recommendations.
Collaborate with peer group and key business partners to share best practices, provide peer coaching and challenge for continual improvements.
Collaborate with Mid-Market Sales leadership to ensure opportunity generation efforts are aligned to Account Executive targets.
Work with marketing team to optimize inbound lead flow and develop demand generation campaigns.
Collaborate with Marketing, Care, Success and Product teams to ensure efforts are aligned to company objectives.
Experience and Skills Needed
4+ years of sales leadership experience.
B2B, inside sales experience
Lead generation and qualification processes experience through use of Sales Development Reps.
Proven ability to engage across internal corporate functions (Marketing, Customer Care, Development and Executive teams).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to manage meetings or host webinars.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proven track record of exceeding goals in a sales development environment.
Strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, not required, but preferred.
